H.R.H.
Princess Bajraktiyabha is a daughter of H.R.H. Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongon
and H.R.H. Princess Soamsavali and is the first granddaughter of H.M. King
Bhumibol Adulyadej and H.M. Queen Sirikit. The Princess was born on 7th
December 1978 and was graduated with a Doctor of the Science of Law (J.S.D)
from Cornell University, United States of America. Presently H.R.H. the Princess
is involving in legal mission Which provides rights protection, legal aids and
justice to the people as well as an human rights development.
The
Princess has been internationally recognized for her expertise in criminal law
and women’s rights promotion in justice system as well as playing an active
role in preventing violence against women. In addition, H.R.H. the Princess was
appointed as UN Women (formerly UNIFEM) Goodwill Ambassador to end violence
against women and was proved unanimously by 40 member countries to be a Chairperson
of the 21st Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal
Justice (from December 2011 to December 2012). It was the first time that a royal
family was entitled to this position which very important in the United Nations.
